Through daily life scenes, views of the landscape, testimonies and archival materials, this documentary shows the determination of this community to defend their ancestral lands, and reveals a cosmovision where human beings live in harmony with nature and with everything in it. The story of the Millalonco Ranquehue community is part of the collective history of the Mapuche people. The Mapuches inhabit a land rich in mineral resources, pristine sources of water and touristic value, a land that used to run from the Pacific to the Atlantic oceans, in the Southern regions of Argentina and Chile. From the early wars during the Spanish Conquest to the genocidal Campaign of the Desert in the 1800's to the present times, the Mapuches have been constantly forced to defend their communities and culture from the threats by national and foreign enterprises.

A través de escenas de la vida diaria, paisajes, testimonios y materiales de archivo, este documental muestra la determinación de esta comunidad para defender sus tierras ancestrales, y revela una cosmovisión donde los seres humanos viven en armonía con la naturaleza y con todo lo que en ella existe. La historia de la Comunidad Millalonco Ranquehue es parte de la historia colectiva del pueblo Mapuche. Los Mapuche habitan una tierra rica en recursos minerales, enormes fuentes de aguas puras y gran valor turístico, una tierra que abarcaba desde el océano Pacífico hasta el Atlántico, en el sur de Argentina y Chile. Desde la Conquista Española hasta la genocida Campaña del Desierto a fines del siglo XIX y el tiempo presente, los Mapuches se han visto forzados constantemente a defender sus comunidades y su cultura de las amenazas de intereses nacionales e internacionales.
